Since I love those violet crystals that I used yesterday and the day before, and I have some left over, I decided to do more with them!  These earrings are the same design as yesterday, with the trios of crystal bicones, but in today’s project, the middle crystal is a gorgeous, deep purple.  It’s fun to do different takes on an idea, and I think these work.  Which do you prefer – yesterday’s or today’s?

Also, these aren’t the only thing I made today.  I also put together another full set (necklace, bracelet, earrings) of our single-strand Vintage by Drakestail design, in black.  You may recall that I made a set as a donation for the silent auction at Tuesday’s Beads for Wishes gala.  Today’s set is also for the gala!  I mailed the completed set to the organizers a few weeks ago, expecting it would get to them in a day or two – it is, after all, in the same city.  However, Canada Post messed up.  Instead of sending the package to elsewhere in Ottawa, it sent it to BC.  So, while the package is on its way back to Ontario, it won’t get here in time for Tuesday’s event.  I whipped up a replacement.  I think the Children’s Wish Foundation is a great charity, and would be greatly disappointed if I couldn’t help support them.

If you’re free Tuesday night and are looking for a great way to celebrate Mardi Gras, you should go!  It will be a great night, and all in support of a great cause.
