One of the things I like to do when I go to craft fairs and art shows is to bring along some projects to work on. I have tools on me in case someone wants to adjust a purchase, and I can showcase my techniques to shoppers. It’s a lot of fun to talk to people about my process.
This pair of earrings came from a set of parts that I had put together to bring to a show. Somehow, the kit didn’t make it into my bag, and got lost under a few other things. I came across it while hunting for something else, and thought I’d put them together for the Challenge! I have no idea what the characters on the coins mean (If you can translate, I’d love to know!), or if they’re just jibberish. I’m fairly sure they were never actual currency, and were just made to be used in crafting. Red is a lucky colour in Chinese culture, so it seemed perfect to put red glass beads with the coins.
