I have a love/hate relationship with donut-shaped pendants. I love how they look, and they’re just a bit different. Unfortunately, they’re also not usually drilled, since they already have the opening in the middle, and that means I need to make a bail. I can make bails, but for some reason I hate doing them. So, I end up with lots of neat donut beads that sit around waiting to be used.
I’ve had this particular pendant for a few years, bought out of a mixed pendant bin at my local beading store. It’s a streaky agate of some sort, in varying shades of brown and green. It has markings etched into it, which look to me vaguely Asian without actually being text. I decided to pair it with some aragonite teardrops, which have lots of creamy swirls through them. They remind me of caramels and I just want to eat them up! I’m including two photos, one of the whole piece and a close-up of the pendant. Enjoy!
