Having found all of my carved flower shell pendants, I wanted to use some more of them. I picked this one out of the package, which is a peachy pink with a slightly darker half that adds a bit of a taupe cast. This seemed perfectly feminine to me, so I matched it with some peach and white freshwater pearls. Since pearls are June’s birthstone, this would make a great gift!
Over the years, I have accumulated a lot of pearls. I’ve found some in random bead grab bags, I’ve bought random grab bags of just pearls, and sometimes there’s one or two left over from a strand. I store them all together for a time when I need just one or two. Today, I decided to dig into my random pearl stash and make a pendant with them. I settled on these three, because I love how their colours – gold, green, and a rich bronze – give the necklace a great autumn feel, and the graduating sizes give the pendant a nice overall shape.
So, we’re up to Day 42! My geeky side had to ask: What *is* the meaning of life? Well, pearls, of course!
Following on the new Vintage earrings I posted yesterday, I decided to make our new triple-strand pearl necklace in white. I think that about says it all, right?
