While I never seem to count it among my favourite stones, I have a lot of hematite.  That gunmetal grey goes with so many different colours, and it’s fairly easy to come by.  I bought all the beads in today’s necklace from my favourite shop in town for buying gemstones, Rainbow Minerals.  I’ve probably had the teeny little hematite tubes for a few years, and same with the 6mm rounds.  The blue Chinese crystal rondelles also came from there, and I think with those and the little silver spacers, this dainty necklace has a lot of pop.
