100 Day Challenge: Day 92. Red pearl necklace.

As promised, I made a necklace with the same pearls as yesterday’s earrings.  I actually bought these pearls years ago for a project I was working on at the time, doing necklaces with a cluster of pearls in the front, themed around desserts.  They’ve long-since sold, but I had these left over.  I love red, and love how this turned out.

100 Day Challenge: Day 87. Citrine teardrop necklace with freshwater pearls.

I bought a couple strands of white freshwater pearls online back in the winter, and hadn’t found the right project for them until now.  After the MAC Fair on Saturday, I realized that I have a LOT of items in blues and greens, and not so many in the warmer colours.  These pearls seemed like a good place to start, and I paired them with some hand-carved citrine teardrops.  I don’t wear a lot of yellow, but I do love pairing citrines with warm browns and reds, and this necklace will be very versatile.
