Wow, we’re a quarter of a way through the Challenge already!
As I’ve mentioned, I don’t wear a lot of yellow. I like it, but it really doesn’t suit my skin colouring. I will bend that rule a bit when it comes to citrine. The warm, sunny yellows found in citrine are pretty hard to resist!
These citrine beads are pretty large, at 10mm, making this a fairly bold statement piece (for me, anyway, as I tend towards more petite jewellery). I’ve had these gorgeous stones for several years, never knowing exactly what to do with them. They have lots of inclusions and imperfections, giving them a very organic feel. I ended up going very simple in the end with some small, round gold spacers and a gold lobster clasp. These citrines didn’t need anything distracting from them!
