You may have seen photos of our second Vintage by Drakestail Jewellery set, which features a three-strand necklace, a three-strand bracelet, and some chandelier earrings with a teardrop-shaped drop component. The set is super elegant, and while we’ve shown the design in black and light gold, this is the first time I’ve made any of it in white.
Today I whipped up a pair of Vintage earrings with white Swarovski pearls. They look pretty glam, and I’m looking forward to making up the necklace or bracelet tomorrow!
I thought I would continue on with the copper projects by making another pair of earrings. When I bought the chandelier components I used in this project, I also bought some in copper. I’ve had them for maybe 6 months, and they definitely need to be shown off. Copper goes so well with many colours, but I went with my favourite, red, with these tiny 4mm Preciosa crystals.
I seem to be on an earring kick. I had some more chandelier components to play with, so I decided to use them with crystals in my favourite colour: red. A few twists of the pliers later, and these beauties were done!
Today’s project departs from the earthy magnesite and steers right into bling territory. I got these chandelier components from the same online shop as the magnesite beads. The loops are spaced quite close together, making me feel like some fairly small beads would hang best. I chose 4mm Preciosa crystals, picking a bright, spring-inspired green. The colour choice was deliberate…
I recently applied to a great juried show, the MAC Fair: BLOOM, and found out I was accepted. Woo hoo! They’ll be holding a raffle and these will be my donation. The show has a spring theme, and is the day before Mother’s Day, so a cheerful, verdant green seemed perfect for the occasion. Check out the details in the link above or in the calendar to the right, and come check out what will be a great event!
