As I mentioned yesterday, I had a few of those great teal and gold glass beads left over from the bracelet, so I turned them into a pair of earrings. I love how this photo turned out, because you get a great look at how the colours are on the beads.

I love to see what other crafters make. It’s inspiring to see what creative people come up with, how they execute it, and what niches and needs they fill. I adore places like Pinterest, where I can collect images of anything that inspires me – fashion, home decor, crafts, and so on. I also use it to save recipes that I actually plan to make, and often do. It’s a source of great ideas.
Today’s project comes from a tutorial on Craftster. I’m on their mailing list, and while the projects are not often about jewellery, this particular one was. I love the fringe-y style of these earrings, and while I didn’t have parts to the exact specifications in the tutorial, I winged it with what I had and love how they turned out. I will definitely make more of these, as they can be done in any colour, maybe with different bead types, and so on. It seems like a great base design to have fun tweaking with!
The photo is a bit dark, unfortunately, but the gold rings and bright red glass beads are very bright and eye-catching.
Today’s creation is another pair of earrings. The gold beads are from a mixed bag that I got years ago. I love getting random beads! I remember going to a store once with an enormous bin of beads of all kinds, and a scoop. It’s always a lot of fun picking through and seeing what treasure I’ve got. There’s often some beads in pairs, which make for fun and unique earrings. Pro tip: when I get a package of mixed mystery beads, I sort them by colour (reds and oranges, yellows and greens, blues and purples, and neutrals) to make it easier to find what I’m looking for.
The gold beads have a great pattern on them but the holes are tiny, and it took me a while to find the right wire to fit. Purple always looks lovely with gold, and the beads linked on are also from a mixed bag.
