Once again, we’re heading in to one of our favourite Ottawa shows: the MAC Fair. Clear your schedule this Saturday, December 3rd, because Drakestail Jewellery, along with over 100 other local makers, will be showcasing our fabulous wares. MAC Fair is strictly handmade, and there’s definitely something for everyone on your Christmas list.

Where’s Drakestail? Find us on Saturday!
Drakestail Jewellery will be out and about again this coming Saturday, November 19th. If you’re in Ottawa, find us at the W.E Gowling Public School, on 250 Anna Avenue, in lovely Ottawa. There’s a huge list of vendors who will be there, with something to suit every taste and thrill every elf on your list. This marks our first appearance at this show, and we’re excited to be there, after hearing so many great things. Come by and say hi, and if you’re an early bird, grab yourself a free swag bag full of great stuff, too!
(A list of vendors can be found at http://gowlingschoolcouncil
Admission to the event is free (though donations are welcome); there will also be a 50/50 draw, swag bags for the first lucky shoppers, refreshments, and raffles. Proceeds from the Craft Show will go toward the long term goal of a revitalized school yard, new play equipment, and general supplies and technological tools for nearly 400 students. Busy little bees: Upcoming shows in Winnipeg and Ottawa
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get ready for the fall & winter craft fair season. We love getting out to see you in person! Lucky for us, we have three live appearances scheduled so far!
Fall for a Cause Vendor & Crafter Market
The first show we’ve got is coming up this Sunday, November 6th, at the Robert A. Steen Community Centre in Winnipeg. The first annual Fall for a Cause is a fundraiser for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation & Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. We have received some fantastic prizes from local community businesses and are assembling exciting prize baskets for raffle.
Come by, bid on some baskets and do some of your holiday shopping supporting local artists and businesses AND local Manitoba charitable foundations!
Stay tuned for details on the next two shows, and keep a close eye on our Event list on the right side of the page!
Last minute but lovely: Arts in the Park
On Sunday, I spent a lovely day out in the park with dozens of other local authors, artists, and artisans. The annual Stittsville Arts in the Park show was supposed to be in June, but got rained out. Sunday was the rain day, and boy, was it the total opposite. We had a bit of cloud off and on, but the humidity was gone, the temperature was great, and there was a light breeze. I got to meet loads of people and I think everyone was in such a great mood because of the weather.
The show itself was a success, too. There was a ton of great local talent, and the kids area had some delicious lemonade for sale. The park was pretty busy for most of the day and I barely had time to sit down. I’m very much looking forward to next year’s show. Watch for details!

Stittsville Arts in the Park this Sunday!
We’ve had a fairly quiet summer for shows, but we just got a last-minute confirmation that we’re in the Stittsville Arts in the Park this Sunday!
You may recall that we were there last year, and it was a gorgeous, sunny day. There were loads of artisans, authors, and I’m very much looking forward to going again this year. If I’m lucky, I’ll be able to snag myself a spot next to the taco truck again. 🙂 Entry is free.
Here’s the Facebook Event Page, if you’d like to follow it as well.

See you there!
Want to win a prize?
I don’t know about you guys, but this month has been CRAZY so far! There’s so many things to do, and all I want is to go hang out on a patio making shiny things with some friends.
I would probably drop all the beads and stones, and then spend the rest of the night trying to find a way under the patio. I fully fear losing tiny pieces of silver between wooden cracks.
Anyway, between all the stuff that gets the kids fed and the bills paid, we also hit a show last weekend! We were at the Bell Sensplex having a groovy time (before I took off to attend a wedding, leaving Robyn on her lonesome)

We lucked out with 2 tables, which is good, cause it turns out we have a lot of pieces to show off!
And yet again we did a draw for a fabulous gift bag! Mango body butter, mango candle, mango sugar syrup (All the MANGO DRINKS!) and of course, something special from us!

The shell bracelet is STUNNING and perfect for summer! It works so well with beachwear and patio nights.

We will be doing more draws! Keep checking in so you don’t miss your chance to win! Or, better yet, sign up for our new newsletter and get special secret discounts!
Can’t make it to a show? Host one of your own! We do Home Jewellery Parties! Perfect for a night in, or to start your night out!
