I had two twisted gold rings left over from yesterday’s necklace, and of course had to make some earrings with them. I think they make a perfect accompaniment to the necklace, and are pretty swanky all on their own, too!

I’ve had these twisted gold rings sitting on my beading mat for almost a month now, wanting to use them but not being sure what to make. I decided to use them as links in a necklace, and I think they add as much interest to this piece as the bright blue crystals do!
I really liked the look of yesterday’s bracelet, so I decided to use some more dumortierite beads to make matching earrings, using the same bead caps as the bracelet. It was hard to catch the dark blue in a photo, but they look quite good in person, a dark indigo blue marbled with black.
I love gemstones, and I’m always excited with I come across a new type that I’ve never heard of before. A couple years ago, I was at a local bead supplier and saw these dark denim blue beads and wondered what they were. They’re called dumortierite, and I picked up a strand to play with them. Unfortunately, they ended up in the bottom of my organizer and were forgotten, until now.
I decided to string a simple bracelet and use up the last three sunburst bead frames that I had from a set I had bought. I picked out the three lightest beads to put in the frames, to help them stand out a bit more, and used some interesting bead caps to create a coherent look through the bracelet.
Today’s project is the three-strand pearl bracelet that matches yesterday’s necklace and Thursday’s earrings. Three gorgeous strands of white Swarovski pearls. Enjoy!
So, we’re up to Day 42! My geeky side had to ask: What *is* the meaning of life? Well, pearls, of course!
Following on the new Vintage earrings I posted yesterday, I decided to make our new triple-strand pearl necklace in white. I think that about says it all, right?
