I love trying new things, and this past Sunday I had the opportunity to try a new show!

Arts in the Park is put on by the Stittsville Village Association. It’s an annual event, showcasing artists, artisans, and authors, and also includes a few local food vendors.

This was my first year participating. I arrived early, and picked out a shady spot under a lovely maple tree. There were loads of visitors long before the show even started, as well as lots of joggers and cyclists passing through the park. There was a light breeze, some light clouds that burned away to reveal a blue sky by the end of the afternoon, and a fantastic, relaxed atmosphere.

My neighbours were great company, our visitors were lovely to chat with, and I had a wonderful time. I was two spaces away from an Asian taco cart.  The smell was irresistible, and they were absolutely delicious.  That was a fantastic coincidence!!  Arts in the Park is on my list of shows to apply for again next year!

Now that my spring shows are out of the way, I’ll be turning my focus back to all our dear fans online. Expect to see some new goodies on Etsy, and of course check back for new articles, information, and fun.
